Poetic License is a word-drafting, poem-crafting, educational family game where players, or “poets,” simultaneously compose creative poems, refine their lyrics using their poetic license, and narrate their finished pieces with dramatic or comedic flair. After each round, poets assign “snaps,” or victory points, to their favorite poems. The poet with the most snaps after two rounds wins!
With nearly infinite unique combinations possible, no two poems will be the same, and the opportunities for expansion are endless. Poetic License is replayable but also educational, reinforcing parts of speech, sentence construction, and syllable counting while encouraging critical thinking, creativity, and most of all - fun!
